How the mighty Liverpool have fallen this season – Part 1
Just over half a season has gone and Liverpool have accumulated 25 points, are 12th in the table and have a goal difference of -3. This is not the Liverpool way but such has been their form that they have been languishing around mid table all
season.
Worst of all, they are showing no signs of improving either. If Liverpool were to continue this form until the end of the season, they will finish the season with approximately 48 points. That will be enough to finish 11th in the table, if points
total from previous seasons is to go by anything.
Roy Hodgson is under extreme pressure and many believe that the decision has already been made and it is only a matter of time before he is shown the door. The reports emerging from the media suggest that King Kenny will be made the interim boss until New

Liverpool’s away form has been catastrophic to say the least. With one win all season and seven losses from ten away games is not just shocking but utterly unacceptable. Liverpool have accumulated just 5 points from a possible 30 from their travels, with

The worst was still to come. Liverpool were knocked out of the League Cup by league two strugglers Northampton. Although League Cup is becoming a trophy only for the youngsters as senior players hardly take part in these matches, yet losing out to such an

Milan Jovanovic gave Liverpool an early lead after which Liverpool went to sleep and Northampton clawed their way back into the game and scored two goals. It was a late strike from David Ngog which took the game to penalties. Northampton eventually won to
put the former Fulham manager under extreme pressure.
Liverpool fans had thought that their team will return to winning ways with a seemingly easy home game against newly promoted side Blackpool. How wrong were they, as the Seasiders came and conquered Anfield with their bright and aggressive playing style.
The defeat left Liverpool 18th in the table as they continued to struggle to find any form or rhythm. To the distress of Liverpool fans, Roy Hodgson accepted that Liverpool were in a relegation scrap and he will need more time to turn things around.
