When I wake up in the morning, I am 1-2 pounds lighter than the night before. Where did that weight go? Did it come out of me when I exhaled CO2?

  1. Maybe you wear more clothes When you weigh at night. Your clothes can easily weigh 5 pounds or more than when you are naked.  It doesn't seem like you would weigh much less from exhaling co2 . It is just a gas.

  2. do you take a leak first thing when you wake up? there's your answer.

  3. Weight loss, in the context of medicine or health or physical fitness, is a reduction of the total body weight, due to a mean loss of fluid, body fat or adipose tissue and/or lean mass, namely bone mineral deposits, muscle, tendon and other connective tissue.

  4. You hadn't eaten for over 8 hours.

  5. Between about 12am-8am, your body goes through the elimination cycle, when your body rids itself of toxins and other debris that were collected in the body the previous day. These toxins leave through your skin, scalp, and excrementory tracts. So in effect you lose weight overnight while your body is eliminating toxins.

    Hope this helps!!!
