Exactly that! How do you feel the U.S. is declared the most important people on Earth. After all, holds the economic and military might of the planet. Not to mention the holding of wealth. But you feel proud of it? To you would be a better respect for being a nation legal, or respect by putting fear in the world? I wonder how they feel being so impotantes and clear ... praised as a people very much hated as a people.

  1. That notion is being shattered every coming day.

Economically the dollar is falling, country is in recession, highest deficit in history, trillions of dollars worth of debts, foreclosures, job loses etc. The cost of Iraq war is over half a trillion now, and only way to pay for it is by borrowing money from China.

While militarily; people are more interested in getting our own house in order, before meddling in other parts of the world. Under Bush America is isolated. Now of course everyone still wants top be the center of the world, but at some level there is bitter realization, US no longer is.

No doubt all thanks to Bush!

  2. I'm proud to be an American, but I couldn't care less about how the rest of the world views me.

  3. Whilst I'm proud to be American, I'm also realistic about the fact most of the rest of the world doesn't consider America to be the center of the world.
