How to Audition for an Acting agent?

I want to be in TV/Film but I don't have an agent. So I was wondering about how you go about contacting and auditioning for an agent in L.A.. Also, the only training I have is Acting I from college and a intro acting class from a LORT A theater. But many people have told me that I look like a model and should be one.
