How to Be a Goth at a Fancy Dress Party?

My friend and i always wanted to dress as a goth at a fancy dress party. We are going to one in december. Any tips on what to do.

How can we look so much like a goth?? clothes/hair.makeup. anything would be helpful

If it really is a fancy dress party :)

Buy clothes from hottopic.

dont be normal with black jeans.

buy a tule skirt of some kind.

mix it up with dark purples and hot pinks..

buy a wig/dye ur hair and get pink extensions.

make urself MEGA pale. and have either dark purple lipstick or bright red.

then go crazy with the black eyeliner.

and choose an awesome eye shadow..

You should get a custom suit modeled after the ones worn in the victorian or victorian eras the kind with the vest, spats and neck tie if you dintt know what I'm talking about rent TimBurton'ss sweeney todd or sleepy hollow the suitsJohnnyy Depp wears are the kind your looking for.

Also if you are a guy you don't have to wear any makeup to look goth.

go with black flowy skirt and black top. use some other dark color accents if you want. wear combat boots, that seems to be part of the goth uniform. black eyeliner, pale face, dark lips and for sure black or midnight blue nail polish.  oh, and don't be too friendly to anyone at the party, look pissed off all the time and they will definitely know you are goth.
