I really want to work at maybe a Zoo something of the sort, working with all the animals and caring for them. And eventually, I would really like to specialize in one species, like Apes or Lions. What is that called, and how should I get started? Which colleges offer that?

  1. You would start by studying zoology as an undergrad.   If you wanted to specialize then you would go on to grad school and do a thesis on the animal you are most interested in becoming an expert on.  You can start now by contacting your local zoo and seeing if they have volunteer or internship programs.  Many have ways to work your way up to a paid position while others prefer a degree or some zoological educational background.

  2. its called zoology. and its a main science so most colleges offer it. I study marine biology, which is the study of the sea and its creatures. (I am not patronizing you I just don't know if you know) and am going to be working on the reefs studying reef sharks and a various other species.
