How to Connect Deck Speakers to the computer ?

Hi,

I have 2 aiwa hifi speakers. Each speaker has 2 cords

1. rca plug

2. wire is having 2 parts the ends are open

i.e no plug just naked wire.

how can i connect these speakers to pc?

plz help

  1. It sounds like you have regular unamplified speakers there.  You will need to get an amplifier or receiver for the speakers to work.  The headphone output of the computer would connect to an input on the receiver.  The speakers would connect to the speaker outputs on the receiver.

  2. go to your local radio shack pick up an 1/8th inch solder-less stereo jack

    i am assuming you have more then one sound out on the sound card? If so get 2 of them one for each speaker if you do not you will have to put all 4 wires into one jack i recommend you get a 4 conductor jack but i am not sure your local shack sells one mine only sells 3 conductor.

    the jack uses screws to hold the wire in place you can most likely get the guy at radio shack to connect these for you if he is good at his job.
