  1. I love adobo.  I grew up in the states but I can't get enough Filipino food.  I asked my aunt how to make it and she didn't use any measurements.  It was more like two parts this and two parts that... a pinch of this and a pinch of that.  That's cooking with love.

    I think these are the ingredients:

    (I use chicken breast) Cut

    Onions

    Garlic

    SoySauce

    Vinegar?

    ... I don't know, but I love it. :)

    ...oh yeah... don't forget the rice.


  2. Adobo... put the pork then the garlic then the onions. pour in soysauce and vinegar. let it simmer until sauce consitency is a bit thick. then put a pinch of pepper and add litlle sugar to taste. Put basil leaves for the aroma.

    3  lbs chicken thighs, cut into serving pieces  

    4  fluid ounces white vinegar  

    1/2  cup low sodium soy sauce  

    1/4  cup peppercorns, crushed  

    1  teaspoon brown sugar  

    5  cloves garlic, crushed  

    3  bay leaves  

    salt  

    Combine all ingredients in a pan, cover, and marinate for one to three hours.

    Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

    Uncover the pan and allow to simmer for an additional 15 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated and the chicken is lightly brown.

    Serve with white rice.
