How to Feel more Comfortable with people I dont know?

So I got switch to a new class and was wondering on how to feel more comfortable or more confident with my new classmates. and there is a girl I like in my new class.

I know you hear this often, but be yourself. Start off talking to one person, and get to know him/her. Eventually you may get to know the others better through that original friend you made at the beginning.
