So I was making some lemonade today and I wasn't getting a lot of lemon juice out of the lemon, so I was wondering if there is some special way to get a lot of lemon juice out of a lemon. I keep my lemons in the fridge.

  1. i agree with the others here to shock the lemon in the microwave...just to add up,you can use a marinated liquid(with the lemon zest and sugar soaked overnight in water) for your lemon juice rather than plain water...

  2. roll them around a bit on a table top while pressing down on them then dip it into a bowl of boiling water for a few seconds.

  3. Place the lemon so that the wider tips are facing away from each other on the left/right (place it horizontally). Then roll the lemon with your palm on a flat surface, like a kitchen counter. Keep on rolling it back and forth with your palm. This will cause the innards to juice up as pressure is added, but the juice will still be within.

  4. microwave them for about 5 or 10 seconds, or roll them on a counter while pressing on them gently.

  5. Roll the lemon on a cutting board with the palm of your hand, hard!  Then use an electric juicer if you have one.

  6. I microwave my lemons for about 10 sec (depends on the microwave) then roll them on the counter to soften them up.

  7. pop the lemon into the microwave for a couple of seconds, when it comes out roll it against the counter before slicing it open. you'll get a lot of juice from it if you do that.

  8. you could try using a juicer.

  9. Take them out of fridge! Put in microwave for 10 seconds then roll on the bench with your hand firmly. Should get all the juice this way!

  10. I think the best way is one of those plastic juicers.  I don't know if they have an actual name.
