Also, It would be nice if you could tell something about stay in this hotel. I've very limited stay in Paris. Should I take some tours like 3 to 4 hour tour around the city?

  1. AIR FRANCE BUSES comfortable fast and drop you right there (Gare de Lyon). Cheapest, fastest and safest way.

    around 15euros or less.

  2. I can't tell you anything about the hotel, sorry.

I've done lots of international traveling with lots of luggage. Please, please don't take public transportation. You will regret it. I did this...it was SO difficult in Paris (esp. because Paris metro has tons of steps with limited escalators.) The next day, my arms and legs were covered with black and blue marks from lugging my bags around. Since you'll be in Paris such a short time, you don't need bodily injury to impede your stay ;)

A taxi is always an option--but a rather expensive one. I suggest http://www.parishuttle.com/

It's a shuttle bus that picks you up at the airport and takes you to your destination. The price is fixed (listed on the site, in English)...typically 25 Euros. You share the shuttle with others (about 7 people at most), so it may take longer. (I would estimate a taxi at 60 euros.) There are other shuttles besides Paris Shuttle--all of them must be reserved in advance though.

As for tours...I'd highly suggest L'Open Tour. It consists of 4-5 different bus lines that hit all the attractions in Paris. You can get on and off the double decker buses at your leisure. There are different packages for length and circuits etc. that you can chose from. I had already visited Paris several times before I did L'Open Tour and I still found it interesting and a fast way to navigate Paris. Here's the site: http://www.paris-opentour.com/

Click English at the top, then on the new page, on the left side there will be a green rectangle marked L'Open Tour. click that and you have more details in yellow. Have a great trip!

  3. Bite the bullet and take a cab.  You won't get lost, and you'll have help with your luggage.  You won't be sorry you did.

  4. MJ !!!   The problem is your load of luggage -

I called the hotel - they have no shuttle

Otherwise the RER B unto Station Chatelet

then RER A ( direction Marne la Vallée or Boissy )

unto Station Gare de Lyon is the classical and

                     cool solution

I fear you'll to take a cab - but before you choose

it - say the place where you go and ask the

approximate price - not less than 60 $ + luggage

  5. utilise le Public Transport. C'est tres cheap, et tu peux combine le tour de Paris a le meme fois!

N'oubliez pas ton Nose guard. Parce que le niff est trez Yeeuuw! n'est ce pas!

  6. by doing a little research prior to your visit such as cost of taxis or by logging onto the s.n.c.f website and looking at timetables of trains from charles de gaulle to gare de lyon  and and how frequent luckily their prices are very good also if you travel by train anywhere in france you can arrange to have your luggage sent separately to the place you intend to visit  just go to the train station nearest to your hotel and enquire i think you.ll find them very helpfull

  7. Take ze Shuttle to your destination. Welcome to Paaree!
