  1. Take Vitamin B before you go to bed.  This will help you dream intensely and with frequent wake-ups.  Intense emotion will cause you to wake from a dream and have a clear memory of the events, mood and a desire to re-enter or exit the dream you just had.

If re-entering, hold onto the fondest memory of the dream as you drift off to sleep.  The emotion should carry you back to the dream where you should begin to develop self awareness and the knowledge that you can act as an independent agent in your dream.  The dream itself continues as if you are in a movie with stuff going on all around you.

If departing a dream, tell yourself that emotions of the previous dream are not real and that only your sense of self is truly real.  Dismiss any lingering emotions or thoughts from the last dreams as fiction and remind yourself it was just a dream and wasn't real..  You should journey into an entirely different dream with an increased level of self awareness.

Have fun with this.  Don't try too hard to make things happen--they'll happen on their own once you get into the habit of remembering and forgetting.

You may wish to keep a tape recorder or note pad on your night table if you come across something you think you might forget by morning.  Record the message to yourself in the dark and take no more than 10 seconds to record your thought.

    Sweet Dreams!!

  2. There's no particular technique.  Just think about it a lot and that will influence your dreams.

  3. Repeat every night before you go to sleep; "I will have a lucid dream tonight." Actually keep saying this until you sleep. Have a post-it or something hanging over your bed top remind you. Reminding is the key in all this.

Be sure to have a trigger. Something you do in your dream to make the lucidity stick. Looking at your hands is a great and simple one.

This may take a while, months even,  before it works. I hope you can spare the time. ;-)
