I want to build a 4 ft tall x 3 ft long x 2 ft wide for my Chinese Water Dragon. I want to use plywood for the back, sides and the bottom of the enclosure. Screen for the top and plexi glass for the front of the enclosure. Maybe some ledges on the inside of the enclosure so my CWD can bask. Can someone post the steps to do this?? And what do I need to buy to build this enclosure?????

  1. This website has great step by step direction for building custom enclosures. All of the enclosures have hinged front doors or are rack systems.

This thread has a guide to building a enclosure with a 2 piece sliding glass opening on the front.

  2. If i were you i would make it 3 foot wide and use plywood for the sides and back and plexiglass for the frount. I wouldnt use screen for the top as it lets out alot of humidity. I would cut holes in the sides near the bottom and put some chicken wire over them or get some vents to put over them. Your supplies should be plexiglass, plywood,2x4 wood, nails or screws, and some water  stuff so it last longer. If you want shelfs get some metal parts that look like " L" and use them to mount your wood. Try this site they have a post with about 40 post on water dragon cages  www.repticzone.com   ( go under forums and under water dragons)
