How to I get over giving up my cat?

Question

My mom just left a 1/2 hour ago with the cat in a crate, bringing to a farm where he can be free. We let him go because he was just too aggressive. He hurt my grandmother, my other cat, and right when i was saying goodbye to me, he bit me. I am so upset. I love him SO SO much. He only would let me hold and cuddle him. And I had really no time to say goodbye. Last night he bit my grandmother and she said " I think it is time to get rid of him." [she lives with us] Then my mom said today, "Maybe we should get rid of him this week" And then next thing I know shes like, " I am bringing him to a farm today so he can be free."

I know it hasn't been long, but I know me, and I don't get over things fast. How will I be able to get over this.

He is not going to a farm. he either is going to a shelter to be killed or will be dumped somewhere far away on the streets

Your mom instead of trying to solve the problem is shirking her reasponsibility

I am sorry but you need to know the truth. Ask your mom for the phone number for the farm if you think i am wrong

wow thats hard i feel so bad for you, hopefully the farm he is going to the people know he is coming.there alot of misconceptions about people liking cats dropped off at their farms.time will make you feel better and maybe you could look for a website t that deals with pet grief.. try typing it  into google and see what comes up.. Just know that your cat will be happier and you will be happier.  You did the right thing, and often, the right thing is not the easiest.  Good for you and I'm sure you will get another pet some day.

I hope he's neutered and that arrangements were made to let him loose otherwise he's just going to end up at a shelter where he'll be put down for biting.
