  1. fry it in a frying pan until it is brown.

  2. Well, I wouldn't laugh, because you don't know either,....

She'll need a large saute' pan (skillet)

    Pre-heat stove to med-high heat.

Once hot, add 3-4 pieces of bacon, let them cook for about 4 minutes on each side, or until crispy and browned.

Repeat for all bacon that you want cooked.

  3. son, when a woman talks about 'making bacon,' she is thinking about something else.........

  4. take 3 papertowels folded into one and put the bacon (each slice seperate, not touching) on the paper towel.  Put another paper towel on top and cook in the microwave until done.  I have a button on my microwave... try 3 minutes, then add another minute one at a time until done.

  5. put it in a pan and cook it on the stovetop OR put it in the oven on 350 for about 1/2 hour OR you can put it on a microwave safe plate and cook for a few minutes (make sure you put paper towel on top)

  6. You can cook it in a skillet on medium to medium low heat, turning occasionally, until it's browned and most of the fat is rendered off. Then drain on paper towels, newspaper, or a clean brown paper bag. This is the most common way of cooking bacon although you can bake it or use the microwave.  I find the latter two methods, tend to give the bacon a texture that's sort of like cardboard and it seems to lose some flavor.

If you use a stainless steel skillet, the bacon will try to stick (especially if your heat is too high), but you may use a fork or a metal spatula to scrape under it when you first turn it.  I highly recommend stainless if you are making scrambled eggs as well. After the bacon is done, pour off most of the fat and leave a little to lightly coat the bottom of the pan before adding the eggs. The tiny bits of bacon left behind in a sticky pan give the eggs great flavour.

  7. fryit!

  8. place slices in cold fring pan and turn heat to medium

    cook about 4 min

    flip cook 2 min

    drain on paper towels

  9. lay in a cold skillet or on a cold griddle, heat up to medium, and let sizzle, flipping now and then until crispy and fat is rendered from it.  Remove from pan to paper towels to drain.  If it pops and spits, your heat is too high and/or you have cheap bacon pumped full of water.

  10. You're kidding right? Or else she's pulling your leg.

Stay away from living with this girl, until one of you learns how to cook.

  11. This is how I cook my bacon at least 3 strips.

cut into lardons <--about the size of the word. render out the fat from the bacon on med heat. take out when bacon is crispy. turn heat up to HOT add pork loin medalians and sear. when pork is brown on all sides. put in 350 degree oven for about 8min or til internal temp is 145 degrees (medium). in the same skillet with the fat from the pork and bacon saute on med heat, pealed pearl onions and whole mushrooms with out the stem. Here is where you get crative. take out the onions and the mushrooms, deglaze pan with sherry or port wine about 4oz cook until almost gone add pork stock or water works just as well about 1 1/2 cups. reduce until you get a sauce consistancy. serve pork with the onions and mushrooms around it and the sauce over the pork, top with bacon. If your not tired yet I hope you made a risotto or some pasta to go with it.
