How to I strenghten my knees?

I just started getting into running and i really like it but ive always had bad knees. Im young too so i was wondering what i can do to help that?

  1. Running will help strengthen your knees becuase when you run you are constantly using the muscles around your knees so they will get stronger the more you run


  2. Low / no impact exercises which use your knees and have similar motion to running, e.g elliptical machines/ Nordic track machines in the gym, put on a high resistance and it will build muscles around the knee but not damage your knees through repeated impact. Also weights in the gym specifically leg curls (which extend your lower leg) and the leg press (which extends your whole leg).
