How to Improve Picture Quality on my Sharp SDTV?

I have a Sharp brand Standard-def TV, and I was wondering how I can make the quality closer to being HD? I know it's impossible to make it HD quality of course, but what adjustments can I make to the picture to make it more comperable? Such as Sharpness, brightness, picture, etc. ?

it should have a menu, push that, then you should have stuff like brightness, color, contrast, stuff like that. adjust those things, thats how you get the picture you want. look in the booklet that came with the tv.

There's not much you can do. Sharpness would probably have the biggest impact, but cranking it up will also increase the noise, so the picture might look too grainy. Give the sharpness a try - increase it until it looks grainy, then back off a little.
