I have a Student account with HSBC and need my overdraft increased. in the booklet and paperwork i got with the account when i first set it up it said that i get £1000 overdraft in my first year, £1250 in my second and £1500 in my third. i'm going into my third year in September, so how come my overdraft is still only £1000?

can i just ring them and tell them to upgrade it to what it should be? or am i going to have to go and beg the bank manager?

  1. Probly becfause you are a student and probly are oerdrawn not very likely they will increase it!! But you said in the 2nd year ure O/Dshould be 1.25 well then ring up and compain that the limit had not increased as it said in the book. Any also ask if you can have some more added on fro your emotional distress in regards to this matter lol sometimes works"

  2. Call them up and ask them to increase your present limits. IF they consider you are a worthy customer and have no banking related problems on file, they will gladly increase your limits.
