  1. http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/...

  2. You can't.

You require admin rights to install something. If this is a work or school computer I would not recommend bypassing the security on the system anyway as it would mean that you are breaking policy and could get banned from the computers (school) or fired.

  3. Ignore the computer illiterate people above me.

this is the only way to do it:

download Firefox. This web browser will come automatically with Flash as an add-on. In order to install Firefox without an admin account, do not install it to PROGRAM FILES (that's C:\) Install it to your desktop and then create a new folder for it. Believe me, it works.

Now, if this ain't the best answer, s***w you

  4. Tell me "the lone wayfarer", how can you install Firefox when you're not an admin? and you're eve asking to be the "BEST" answer? i'd say "INCOMPLETE" answer.

Before installing Flash Player, please check the following browser settings:

    Internet Explorer ActiveX settings

Browser security settings should be chosen by you or by your system administrator. For single users who do not have an administrator, the Medium: Default Level allows you to view Flash content. For any Custom Level, ensure that both the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are set to "Prompt".

    To change your security level:

       1. Open Internet Explorer.

       2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.

       3. Select the Security tab.

       4. Select Custom Level.

       5. Find the section "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".

       6. Set ' Download Signed ActiveX Controls' to Prompt.

       7. Set 'Run ActiveX Controls And Plug-ins' to Prompt.

If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level that does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.

  5. You need to be an administrator.
