How are you supposed to kick a soccer ball if u want to kick it far or get lift on it? Like for instance, if you want to take a corner kick and it has to go in the air?

I seem to have trouble doing this with the inside of my foot like I've been taught you're supposed to. It feels easier if i kick it almost with the tip of my foot. Where does the ball make contact with your foot?

  1. Do not use your toe to strike the ball. THere is little accuracy with it because it is a pointed area. The ball should be struck with your instep/laces.

  2. i cant really tell u i just can show u

  3. Correct, it is with the side of the your foot. Try kicking hard, at a 90 degree angle meaning, the tip of the side has to be facing the ball. After that is just a matter of practicing until you get it where you want it

  4. lean back when you kick it to get it go up. Try to get your leg to follow through with the ball for power. Try watching some videos on YouTube and copy them

  5. well i dont know if your going to understand me but yeah!!!

well kick it by putting the tip of your foot under the ball...like hitting it with the lower part of the foot and the higher part of the tip....

then you could hit it to the side so it could have a curb like in a corner....

it works for me alot...i have a really strong kick so yeah...

if you need more help just tell me...

  6. different shots need different parts of feet for example i can pass a ball best with the inside and for penalties in the middle part of my foot for more strength and your right that with the tips of your foot and lifting your leg it will make it easier just dont lift it to much in a corner.

  7. U get the most powerful kick by kicking the soccer ball with the front-side of ur foot

  8. think of your foot as a scoop, use the front of your foot to kick if you want it to go in the air. and scoop it up into the air

  9. use ur laces, put ur foot under the ball when u kick && use ur laces

  10. the tip of your foot is in like a circle so only a perfect touch will work like carlos but the best use the inside as more direct and needs practice for distance keep trying it will come off

  11. With your foot

  12.   It seems you need more power and lift...unless you work out your legs a lot, some people have problems on a full-size field.

    Try this:

let it run up over the top of your foot with your foot slightly plantar flexed...so you are really kicking with the area where your foot meets your leg---the ankle area.  It's slightly wider and allows more control.  Keeping the foot plantar-flexed slightly (foot extended downwards as in ballet) prevents you from hitting a super airball, but still gives some lift.  Letting it roll slightly off-center the ankle area will give it spin.

Kicking with the inside of the foot is great if you have the power to back it up...lots of directional control, but no power.

Kicking with the tip of your foot has very little directional control for many lay people, and only slightly improved, if any, for curling your toes to increase surface area.

  13. well i kick with the inside of my foot

    and its football!

  14. You have to kick it in the bottom.

Also a trick is to put the valve in the top of the ball... some professionals do that before kick the ball.

If you kick with the right foot, remember to put your left foot besides the ball and open your left arm to make the right balance.

Breath before you kick, and when you do the last move blows, this make your kick stronger

  15. When trying to kick it far and in the air you use the top of your foot.. scoop it up and just kick with the top of your foot!! trust me it works!!
