How to Locate Someone Who Uses and Anonymous Proxy?

Question

I have been receiving information from someone trying to scam me through e-mail. I have been able to figure out, using the e-mail header, that he is using some type of anonymous software which makes the e-mails go through an anonymous open proxy. I have been told that you can track someone even if they are using this type of software.

Does anyone know ?

YOU can not. The authorities can. You need to send a copy of the scam emails plus a copy of the FULL headers to [e-mail] and they can deal with it. NEVER reply to the scammer, or try to in any way contact them. If yiou do it just confirms your email address is active, and they them sell it as part of a list to EVERY illegal agency in the world. By simply doing this on behalf of the receiver of the mails in response to a question on here last week, The following day they were out of business, including a monthly rented office  (receiving money from people scammed in just 2 days) being raided.

Not with email I think not 100% sure... You can when you have a active conection with him but also not hwne he is behind more then 3 proxy's and itsn not easy

The only way is for the hosting company of the proxy to provide that information to you.
