  1. You are just going to have to wait it out I guess. There is no way to avoid it because you didn't stop then to make it right.

  2. ooooooooohhhhhhhhhh your in trouble.

  3. Ummm, they ususally take a pic of your cars license and send you a reminder note that says you need to pay.(it usualyl goes up at that point ..not 1,50 or whatever it goes to 25.00 bucks. But,make sure you do because if you dont ..they file it with county clerk and it goes into arrest warrant at least in fla..if you do not pay!!

  4. My mom did that in New Jersey a couple of months ago by accident.  I think she was trying to read directions and drive at the same time and by the time she realized she was in the ezpass lane it was too late.  A couple weeks later she got a letter with a picture of the back of her car driving away from the toll without paying and a $25 fine.  There's nothing you can really do once you're through the toll.  You just have to wait for the letter and try not to do it again.

  5. EZ pass will be contacting you.

If they dont, call the courthouse nearest the area which this occured, and they can help you get ahold of who you need to.

  6. well if you were following w/e the limit is in the ez pass toll booth thing, for example on the njtpk ive seen it at 15 mph, well so long as you aren't doing over that, and you had your ezpass up where it can be read, then contact ezpass, explain your situation and as long as it doesn't constantly happen they should take it off cause its not your fault that it wasnt read. this happened to me and i did that, they took care of it and didnt charge me anything, at least i dont think they did.

  7. They will tell you to wait till you get the fine in the mail.   And you will,  it will take a few weeks.

  8. kinda depends on state and agency. As stated, some offer a pass the first time but most do not. Most any toll pass system takes your car and plates pic as you pass through. You should get a letter including a ticket for failing to pay the toll. Because it is an automated process I doubt calling them will do anything to help you. Wait till you get the letter then call them and explain your situation. If that doesn't work show up to court and plead your case with the judge. You might actually win depending in the judge.

  9. normally what would happen is they would photograph your car at the toll plaza and get its license plate.  from there they would send you a letter in the mail with the amount you owe

  10. You won't get fined for missing the payment as long as you make the payment soon after you missed the toll and tell them it was a mistake.

Don't wait for them to mail you a bill, because the $20 or $25 fine will be attached to it and if you call, they will tell you that you should have paid it earlier to avoid the fine.

Usually, they will have you mail in a check for the payment or pay it using a major credit card.

If it was on the PA turnpike, call their customer service line.

I attached the turnpike EZ pass website below.

  11. I can't vouch for anywhere else, but I know the EZPass lanes in Houston give you a freebie if you're not a repeat offender.  There was this woman who'd racked up tens of thousands in umpaid tolls and they arrested her.  In the article covering the arrest, the agency admitted they don't go after people until they become a problem.

If I were you, I'd go to toll booth where the incident occurred and go into the office to discuss it.  If they have a record of you doing it, they may just accept the toll and not fine you.

  12. well, they will get to you usually. Just pay up the amount they ask and dont go into any arguement

  13. Don't worry, they will find you. There's a camera that takes a picture of every license plate.

  14. I would call your local law enforcement agency, explain what happened and ask how you can rectify the situation.
