How to REALLY tell if he loves me.?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 months, but have known each other for about a year and a 1/2. We're both 17, and I know people will say that we're to young to be in love....but I really do love him. He says " I love you" via text and AIM randomly, but when we're together usually I'll say it, and his response is, " Love you too." When we kiss he pulls me really close, and he is always looking out for me, and making sure I'm ok. He told me once after we made out that it felt different, and it was a good different. Since then, we've only gotten closer to each other. He doesn't pressure me to do anything. He's not what you'd call a "romantic", but he keeps me close to him, and tells me he loves me. But does he really love me?

When it feels right, you know it :)

It's like, me and my boyfriend, (almost 18 months) we are both 16. The day after we got together he put his arm around me and said i love you. i pulled away and said he didn't, he hardly knew me. we kept going strong, he learnt about me and my not so bright past and time went by. There was this one moment though, i was in his arms, just him holding me, nothing else mattered and he said it again. I knew that he did, and i knew that i did.

It is amazing.
