I can't believe you are serious about attempting such a conversion. Why on Earth would you bother? If you want RWD, trade in the Lancer for something that already has it.

I can't believe you want to wreck a completely decent car. Mitsubishi makes one of the best 4WD in the world and you just want to cut and weld?

I am not a expert mechanic but I like to comment on the other answers. There are many people that actually do a rwd conversion on evos that we all may not know of. Maybe because its better drifting or easier or he doesn't want that awd train power loss thing(its like 24% power loss i think). If you look at Tokyo Drift. They had that red evo rwd drive because of drifting.
