How to Reprogram the key on 2006 BMW 325i??

Question

when i unlock / lock my car, ( it works ) but there is no sounds or any light reaction! how do i make that happen?

hmm i have an 05 325i and when i lock it theres one flash of the lights and when i unlock it theres two flashes... but no horn..

i know on my nissan i can switch the factory alarm to honk or not.. so maybe bmws do the same... except with horn and lights.

read in your manual about the alarm...

seriously though, you will learn SOOOO much about your car if you actually read that manual. like if you hold down the unlock button it will roll down all you windows and your sunroof!! crazy right?? lol.. read up on the manual, im sure youll find sometin

In order for it to make sound you would have to have an alarm installed, the 3 series does not come from the factory with one. It is pretty simple to make it light up though.  With the car on, but not in gear, rotate the k**b on the upper left stalk control- the one that has BC beside it.  There will be several options, there will be one with a key symbol on it, select it by pushing the BC button.  After selecting the key there will be several more options, you can scroll through and change whatever you want at that point.
