  1. You need a router.  Connect the Internet to the router and connect the computers via ethenet cables.  If one of your computers has doul network card, you can use it as a router.

  2. go to internet connection wizard and setup a connection as your main computer as server and work it... once you get to setup it will ask what to do? with all discription hence it will guide...

  3. Basically you need a switch which has many ports, one for the main connection line and the other ports to divide that connection to the differnt computer you attach to it.the primary DNS server config would be same but there will be different IP for the two computers

for eg: for comp: IP:192.168.1.2    gateway:192.168.1.1 and the appropriate dns server

for laptop: IP:192.168.1.3 gateway and DNS server would be same

  4. Hey that's a long procedure

    takes 2 mins

    Search Google

  5. You have two choices . One is installing two ethernet adapter in your desktop .Connect the modem to one of the adapters with a cable and the other to your laptop and configure the desktop to connect to the Internet and sharing connection with other computers .

Another way what I would recommend is to use a router (cable or wireless) . Cable connect the modem to the router and the desktop to the router . Configure the router according to supplier instructions .Now if your connection to the Internet is OK then connect your laptop through cable and configure it to share the Internet connection . If you are going to buy a router better choice would be a wireless one because you would have the benefit of wireless connection with your laptop

  6. You have to buy a router for that purpose. The cable from your ISP will plug into your router and then you need to connect the cables from the router to your Desktop and Laptop.

Generally, most of the routers are wireless routers too. So, that means you can use internet on your laptop wirelessly, that is, if your laptop has a wireless card.

FYI, you can buy a wireless card for your desktop too, that way you dont have to have a wire connected to your desktop either.
