How to Use Pearson Rank Correlation?

Question

I want to add an original piece of data presentation to my geography coursework, and I've heard that Pearson's rank is more accurate than Spearmans rank correlation. So please could someone explain to me how to do it? The wikipedia explaination makes very little sense :(
