I work as an assistent taking photo of children and the first time dealing with them I was really quiet and just spoke softly. I wasn't really like 'WHOOHOW KIDS, LETS DO THIS NOW, YAY'. I started got get a bit energetic but not that funny and as soon as teenagers model started coming in I lost all my funniness.

I need a way to be funny and not shy so I can make children feel comfortable and laugh while I take photos. Is there any tips...

and I also need to feel comfortable with taking photos of people my age ...

Note: out of my job i'm using making heaps of jokes and really loud around my close friends but Im used to being really polite and soft/shy around people I dont know. I have ten little cousin and I always joke heaps with them and kids love me..but when im at work im like a boring nanny who sits there and says nothing...AHHHH

What can i do ...

  1. Innocently make fun of their parents. That used to work for me! So, everyone, smile for Gonzo, I mean, Dad!

  2. well comming from a 15 yr old girl. dont try to hard! my friends i always seem to laugh when people get hurt sorry but true. and its funniest if its unintentional. or you could bribe them. teens do anything for money lol

  3. pretend to fall or trip!

  4. Just be yourself. Don't try to act cool on purpose in front of them. Treat them like you would anyone they're age. If they are really young, treat them like you would your cousins. If they are teens, treat them like adults. They will listen to you more this way. Good luck.

  5. Just try to be their Friend and don't yell at them just act like them make them think your one of them just in a more mature body.Just be yourself just have fun.If that does not  work bribe them with a lollipop say if you smile for this picture i will give you a nice lollipop.

  6. visualize how when you were a kid, what you would want to be looking up to

  7. Tell inappropriate jokes that these kids won't understand for at least another 10 years.  that always breaks the ice.

Seriously though...give them a high five.  Some physical contact, even if it's only a simple high five, can really put you (and them) at ease and make joking around easier.  Make the environment comfortable for yourself as well--make sure you feel at home.  Maybe have someone you feel comfortable around with you to help you break into a more child friendly mood.  Overall, you just need to feel more comfortable.

  8. just be funny you know how to do that right? we are peepl just like u old guys!

  9. ok to start...dont try to be funny or anything else cus know matter how hard you try or anyone else trys you/they will fail,be your self they are humans pertend they are your frieds, get to know them
