Question:

How to act in an interview?

Ok now I've had interviews for jobs before but I'm still very nervous for tomorrow. I'm interviewing for a job at animal clinic tomorrow morning. I've had a wonderful job before at another prominent animal hospital in the area but had to leave because of scheduling problems. I feel I did my work as best as anyone could have done and while I have a couple things to work on (such as building up some more muscle to help hold big dogs and just gain more general experience) I think I have handled myself well. All the same I am a very nervous person and I know how much I need to land this job for college recommendations this Fall and so my college advisor does totally bust my chops for leaving my other job in the middle of the summer! Even if you not in the veterinary medicine field- do you have any general tips about questions I should ask, things I should say, or how to just generally hide how nervous I am!? I know I shouldn't be so nervous but I think because I know how important this is I can't quite seem to stay calm and I'm worried it will show in the interview tomorrow!

  1. Take a deep breath.  The more nervous you get the worse the interview will be.  You should study as if you ar taking a test.  Research the business that you are interviewing.  Google them on the internet.  Is this vet office different than others?  Do they have a specialty that others don not have?  Be prepared to talk intellignetly at the interview about what you bring to the table as an employee.  Be prepared to answer questions such as why you are leaving your current position.  Be prepared to talk about yourself confidently.  Practice your interview.  Have someone ask you questions and grade yourself.  Practice until you feel comfortable.

  2. It sounds like you are well qualified for the job.  Just answer any questions they ask you truthfully, and don't offer apologies for leaving the other job.  Try to think critically.  If you don't know the answer to a question, say you would ask your supervisor's advice.

  3. it seems to me that ur a perfect fit for the job. u'll do great dont worry.
