How to act like Ms.Darbus?

I kinda got the part in high school musical broadcast acting as ms.darbus and i have to act with simple clarity ,what does that means?

Acting with simple clarity means "don't over-do it."  Don't try to make her funny, don't be a ham.  Just find the truth in the character's actions.  What does Ms. Darbus want?  How does she go about getting what she wants?

You can also use observation to develop a character.  I directed HSM last spring, and told the teenager playing her, "Dance like your mom."  That bit of direction helped her understand Ms. Darbus's movement, and also helped her develop Ms. Darbus's voice patterns.

So keep it simple, keep it true, keep it clear.  And break a leg!
