How to activate LNB?

i am trying to install satellite with directv LNB, but i don't know how to activate the LNB to receive signals.

any help will be appreicated

It depends on what LNB you have,

If the antenna is aligned correctly,

You have a few choices here depending on what setup you have

5 LNB for only HD with slimline only

3 LNB for non HD with a five LNB

3 LNB for older HD antenna

Single LNB for the oval 18" dish

or just run the auto detect,

trying to install your satellite, directv has many different kinds of dishes and many different satellites, so i will give you the basics

you can always punch in you zipcode in the receiver to help with alignment.

3 things are importants, flush, plumb, and square meaning completely level.

if you live east of the mississippi, you are gonna be aiming south-southwest. west of the mississippi you will be south-southeast
