  1. It's not going to work, their routers have "Denied" your access to their servers. If they overlooked it, they still could charge you for services.

It's a little risky to play that game... You can not activate your MAC address on Comcast's routers/servers. They perform that duty.

  2. Getting two routers setup so they each directly connect to the internet will require two cable lines coming in, ie you will have to pay double. Activating MAC addresses require you to call Comcast.

You can hook up the router to the router and you shouldn't have issues as long as the IP addresses don't overlap. Check your user manual to see how to change the start IP. In this case you won't have to call Comcast to give a MAC address, except for the one directly connected to the net.

Why are you afraid to call Comcast? DirectTV is cable, not internet. You can cancel Comcast cable without to much difficulty as long as you return their equipment. Sure they might try to keep you, but if you tell them you are sticking with DirectTV they will eventually back off.

You also need to call them to cancel Comcast cable or you will be paying too much. You don't have to have both cable and internet. You can just use internet. The fact they "don't know" yet means nothing. As long as you pay, you will have a connection, but if you start missing payments they will disconnect you.

  3. Why do you want two routers? Two routers is generally a bad idea.
