How to activate the phone!?

I broke my razor about 2 days ago, dropped it into water. My brother in law gave me another phone that he doesn't use anymore. How can I activate this without going to the verizon store? I went to the verizon website and it doesn't help me at all.

You can call Verizon customer care and simply ask to active the phone. Someone will do it within minutes.  There is a way to active the phone through the Verizon web site. I cannot post the link though. Do a google search for activate verizon phone online.  Click the first link and from there you can see how to active your phone online.
