Would a SATA 200/250 GB work too? and would this expire my warranty?

  1. My preference would be Seagate HDD

    Hard drive upgrade requirements...

    - Laptop hard drive

    - Must be Serial ATA (SATA)

    - Must be 2.5” drive

    - Only 5,400 rpm

    - Cache = 8MB

  2. Backup your files, buy a 160GB SATA laptop-sized hard drive, remove the hard drive door on the PS3, remove the old drive, insert the new one, re-format with PS3's dashboard. It's very simple on the PS3.
