I have a 2008 Dodge Charger (base) with a 2.7 liter V6 (I know, small) but I bought it already and want to add some horsepower to the car to make it a little more peppy. Could someone please provide me with a list of things I can do and buy for the vehicle to make it go much better?

  1. find a 3 inch or bigger intake system... change the exhaust to a more free flowing system.  Look for a throttle body spacer... and check ebay for a computer reflash.

Basically a motor's an air pump so if you get air in and out more easily, you can make more power.  these are all cheap easy fixes and the intake and throttle body spacer can be done yourself w/ just a ratchet set and screwdriver

  2. there's not really a lot available for ht 2.7 in the, line of performance parts,Chrysler just don't look at the 2.7 as being anything that can be made in to a power house, the most you can do is add better exhaust and maybe improve on the air intake system, you can spend a thousand bucks on that one and still not be satisfied with horse power, good luck.

  3. get a k&n filter . but there isnt much you can do to em its a small engine, and its a new one. mabey some flowmasters.

and dont listen to that guy who says he can get his car to run on water its a bunch of b.s. its not possible you WILL mess up the engine if you did that.

  4. I understand your question but any money you would invest would not get it to revelop any "real" horsepower

It is new - Think about a trade for a 5.7 hemi - you won't be dissappointed

  5. Aftermarked exhaust, headers, air intake, super/turbo charger, higher octane gas...etc etc.

  6. Simple low dollar bolt on's for performance.  Air Raid kit, chip it, headers and exuast, and plenty more.  go to summitracingequipment.com and go shopping my friend.
