  1. Your 2 liter has to much compression to turbocharge properly SR20DET is designed around turbo with necessary pistons oil passage ways and oil drain into the oil pan. SO after spending 3,000 overhauling a 2.0 motor to handle turbo power. And another 3,000 for turbo inter coolers and engine controls. Your left with a 16 year old economy car that is not so economical any more. And talk about TORQUE STEER! crummy stock brakes and 15" wheels

  2. There is not much out there as far as off the shelf stuff to turbo your car.

First do a compression check and if it checks out move on to general maintance....then turbo.

Line up some parts yourself and I am sure you can do this for about $2000-$3000

Turbo - stay away from the ebay china turbos. A used name brand garrett T25 or T28 is better the a new china turbo. ~$300-500

    Manifold - $250-500

Fuel system - pick up some 370cc or 550cc injectors. Pick up a new walbro fuel pump. $200-350

    BOV - $200

    Intercooler & pipes $400

Something to tune - SAFC, emanage, or get a ecu tune. Remember to get timing control. $250

Oil feed line from the oil pressure sender & oil return line welded to the pan. $200

    Down pipe. $100-200

    Go have fun!

Anything over 200ft/lbs will cause some pretty bad torque steer in first and second gear. Nothing you can't get used to. Won't be a problem cruising around...only off the line. I am sure they make better difs for this car.

    Here is a nice write-up -
