  1. no, its not enough. usually there is a number where the x's are.

    it should be

    ###-## sakuraecho

    "city name" "prefecture name"

    "zip code" JAPAN

    no quotations though :]

  2. here is how you should address it:

    x*x Sakuraecho

    Nagano-s**+, Nagano-ken

380-0862 (this is the postal code)

    Japan

    I live in Nagano prefecture myself so I looked up the postal code for you from the Japan Post website. I wanted to e-mail you as well because the last time I answered a question like this my answer was stolen ;_;

This is the link to Japan Post lookup:

    http://www.post.japanpost.jp/cgi-zip/zip...

  3. You may put zipcode 380-0862

    but, be not necessary actually.

    x*x  Sakurae-Cho, Nagano (380-0862) is enough.

  4. Yeah you will probably need the postcode- although with the efficiency of the post in this country I reckon it would get there even with just that info on it. (This is true- I once had a letter find me that had pretty much everything, except my name and area, on it wrong- scary)

  5. You should also get ahold of the postal code.

Although not essential, it will speed up the delivery of your mail.

You can write the postal code at the top of the address or at the bottom.

    It can look like this:

    Postal Code                                        name

    street address

    ......  Sakurae-cho

    Nagano, Japan

    Or like this:

    Name

    Street address

    ......   Sakurae-cho

    Nagano, Japan

    Postal Code
