  1. Every shelter has different policies and rules about adopting animals.  There is almost always a fee (the ones I've seen are between $50 and a few hundred) to cover the animal being spayed/neutered and other vet bills.  You can usually go "visit' the animals and see what one stands out.  Then after you take it home, you usually have so many days to decide if that pet is the right one for you.

Good luck, I've adopted a few animals this way.

  2. Most animal shelters require that you fill out an application form and pay a small fee.  The fees for cats are usually less expensive than the fees charged for dogs as they require fewer services.

-On a side note, please use the formal spelling when posing questions, not text message spelling.

  3. go to your nearest rspca shelter and enquire about it they have all the details there u need to know good luck

  4. The cats at the shelter are so loving, that is how I first decided to adopt, but soon learned they came with sickness that I could not afford. Those cats get each other sick, and unless you have a lot of money and don't mind dealing with diarrhea, then I would pass on the shelter. They also charge too much for a cat. ALso a sick cat can get your dogs sick too, because dogs will sometimes eat cats p**p. If you have kids, you don't want them around this either.

Now my suggestion would be to go on Craigslist, you can get one for free. They all need homes, they have cats and kittens on there everyday. Check it out.

  5. there is a place that has cats that you can go look at.

  6. At the shelter you will pay for the shots/ spay/ neutering ahead of time.

There is no such thing as a free kitten.

You have to spend money on all of the above anyway

if you go to a shelter at least you are saving one or two lives!
