I've been selling brazilian panties on Ebay. Things are a little slow so far. I just started to sell so I have few feedbacks. I have good feedbacks and everybody likes my items. What else can I do to get people to visit my ebay and bid on my items?

Thanks!

  1. um make your own website, ebay is for suckers.

  2. Hi Braziliangirl,

First of all - I don't thing you necessarily need your own website - driving traffic to it will require nearly the same amount of effort as getting visitors to your eBay listings.

A good strategy is to drive traffic from eBay to your website, though, but setting up your website and selling from it is more difficult than doing it on eBay.

So first of all - test a good number of listing images. Take real photos, use factory product images, and eventually find out which ones work best. Then experiment with listing titles and see which convert best.

You may want to use the tool from the first link below to optimize the titles.

Another good way is to optimise your listings so that they look as attractive as possible to insure visitors stay on your listing as long as possible not just click and leave.

From the second link you can get free templates - really good looking ones - and free eBay marketing Video course, too.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Robby

  3. There are the tools when you are creating your listing that might help, such as having your ad appear in bold or on the top of the page.  I agree with the other answer in creating your own website, that might help and then advertise it on google with adwords.  Do you have an ebay store?  If not that should help.  I don't mean to be harsh, but I am a woman who wears panties like the ones you are selling, and they do seem a little high priced.  I dont think I would spend that much at Victorias Secret let alone ebay.   If you would still be turning a profit by reducing your price a bit, I would suggest that.  Hope you end up with a successful little business, seems like fun!  : )

  4. Generally you need your own website - or maybe a blog - to drive people to your eBay listings or make sales independently of eBay.

There are several ways of adding eBay listings to your own web site. You could join eBay's affiliate program - the eBay Partner Network (EPN) - and earn commissions when people click on eBay listings on your web site then buy or register on eBay. There is a tool on the EPN site called Editor Kit which is a quick way to generate HTML to show eBay listings on your own website.

Another possibility is to use social networking tools. You will need to write compellingly about what you sell to attract visitors. Advertising your listings will be a secondary activity. Look at blogging sites (e.g. Blogger.com), Squidoo, MySpace etc.
