Hello I'm new to the whole eyeshadow thing, and only in the past used eyeliner.

I just got a cheap one to experiment with, it's a four colour pallet of

white, light gray, dark gray, and very dark gray (near black)

could anyone tell me how to apply these and what brushes to use for them, also i put eyeliner on after right? thanks :)

well...since you said it was the cheap kind then the type of brush...its small...and ahh idk!

you can look up on google what it looks like.

but be careful...last time i used cheap eyeshadow i got a stye.

    soo yeaa.

    i hope i helped. XD

  3. use the brush that comes with the kit.

do the darkest colour close to your eyelid then then get lighter as ou work up towards your eyebrow.

  4. It depends on what look you're going for:

Day: Use lighter colors. It depends on your eye color too. Put the darker color (not too dark) in the crease in your eye. Then, put a lighter shade of that color on the rest of your lid from the top of the crease to anywhere below your eyebrow bone. Then blend those two together where they meet.

Night: Put a darker shade onto the crease like the daytime look, then a slightly lighter shade above it, but not as high as the day.

Eye color: The darker the color the lighter you want.

I hope this helps. Its what my friend's aunt (who's a make-up artist) told me.

  5. You get what is called an eyeshadow brush (at most drugstores they will have brushes), swipe it in the eyeshadow and put it on...

I put my eyeliner on first, because if I make any mistakes usually the eyeshadow can cover it up.

  6. youtube.com

  7. use the brush that comes with it and put the eyeliner on top so the eyeshadow doesn't cover it up. when you apply the eyeshadow don't put too much on the brush. and when your done use a another brush under your eyes to wipe away the eyeshadow that has fallen.

      hope this helps

  8. you will need a biggish fluffy brush and a smaller rounded eyeshadow brush. so what you do is put the white color lightly all over your whole eye, mostly under your eyebrow. the you put the light gray on just the lid part of your eye, and with the dark gray, use the smaller brush to apply it to the crease that seperates your eyelid to brow bone. with the dark dark gray, if you can get an eyeliner brush just put it on as eyeliner, it not, forget about it.

  9. jus pt it on ur eyelid its not tht complicated!

  10. First get some eyeliner and eye brush

go there it will help you step by step

  11. first you apply eyeliner, than eyeshadow, than mascaara if u want

use the lightest colors first and work your way up the scale.

so basically apply in the order u wrote.

i use my fingers because brushes spread the eyeshadow too much. i use my pointer finger.

there are many videos on expert villages that show how to apply makeup

    here are some links:

just go to expertvillage.com or youtube.com and search

    that's how i learned it!!

    good luck

  12. Righttt ...

Well first off use the biggest brush to put on the lightest shade (white)

apply this over the whole lid , then move onto the next colour (light grey) and cover a smaller area.

keep this up untill you get to the eyelash and use the darkest colour to the upper lid as yu would with an eyeliner

and yes you do put on the eye liner after!!

    Its all very complicated

    JUST EXPERIEMENT :)

    Have fun! x x x

  13. I use Bare Essentials makeup.  I always apply the powder foundation to my eyelids first. Then apply eyeliner.  You should smudge it a bit so it's not a harsh line, then apply your eyeshadow.  Of course it depends on the look you want.  Light and natural or a heavy, evening look.  You don't need to use all the colors you have, again it's really up to you and the look you want.

  14. you are supposed to put the darker shade nearer to ur eye and slowly go lighter so ur just mixing in the lighter color and it is denser in the corner of your eye. and also not too much eyeliner it will make you look like a raccoon

  15. you get the eyeshadow and you put it on. Then you get laid.

  16. First of all, use an eyeshadow brush. (It probably came with one. If in a hurry you can always use a cue-tip, but that's harder on the eyes) I would first, dip the brush in the white and then put it in the tear duct section of my eye and underneath the eyebrow.

Secondly, go on to the light gray and sweep that on the half of your eyelid closest to your nose.

Third, use the next dark gray on the other half of your eyelid.

Fourth, put the near black on the other side of the eyelid opposite of the tear duct and sweep it under your lower eyelashes, but sparingly.

If you want to, use the eyeliner, or you could do it before putting on the eyeshadow. If you're an excellent eyeliner liner, then do it last, if not, do it first so the eyeshadow can correct.

The palette you have is great for the smokey-eye look.

If you want a different smokey eye look, then go to this youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH-bbLnvX...

    I hope that helps.

    Have a wonderful day!

  17. Wooh!  Four colour palettes are a smart idea as a starting point, as you know the colours compliment each other.  Start with an easy look, and then experiment.

    Try this:

Use a medium sized flat brush to apply the light grey across your eyelids to just above the crease.  Switch to a small brush, and work the darkest colour into the crease of your eye by running the brush back and forth along the crease, from the bottom corner of your outer eye, to just past the middle of the crease (about in line with your pupil if you look straight ahead).  Smudge it in so it's not harsh, and looks blended.  You can do this with a softer fluffier medium brush, or even with a clean finger.

Next, use the white to fill the gap between your eyebrow and the top of the eyeshadow you just applied, then blend the line with again, the fluffy brush, or perhaps your faithful finger.

If you're feeling adventurous, use the remaining colour (dark grey) to give a bit of depth, by applying it in the outer corner of your eye below the crease, and blend it all in.

    Ta-da!  Easy look.

To make it look even better, use a small angled brush, or an eyeliner applicator/pencil, to apply eyeliner along your top lashline, as close to the lash as you can.  When you've done that, you can always make it thicker if you want, and feel free to try different shapes at the end, e.g. a wing or double strike, although you may want to save those until you've had some practice with the rest.

Then, when you've mastered that, get creative and play around - see what you like best!  Maybe even invest in some more colours.  Just enjoy XXxx
