How to apply for a teller position at a bank?

I've tried applying online cuz that's what the people at the bank told me. I really want to be a teller preferably at bank of america...what do i do? I also checked for recruiting days, none in houston

Often times larger financial institutions ask that you apply online so you can 1) develop a profile with them that they can refer back to when they want and 2) take some sort of testing or assessment if the job requires one. Given the current economic situation, there are plenty of candidates so you have to ensure your online resume, cover letter and application stands out. Review their online job posting for a teller position and cater your resume to match it. Some banks value cash handling experience over customer services and sales while others are the opposite. Their website also suggest the following as an alternative to applying for a position:

    Email your resume to bac@resume.bankofamerica.com

    o In the Subject Line of your email, include "Source = Bank of America Careers"

    They also have a skills assessment online.
