Does anyone know if it's possible to apply for visa to visit tunisia for 3 years? Is it possible to apply for a landing visa in Tunisia? If so, how to apply it?

Thanks!

  1. You do not give your nationality...which is a key piece of info if you want to apply for a visa. However,  I know of no country that allows visitors to "visit" for 3 years.  You need to go to the website of Tunisia to your country and research visa requirements.  there are many sites of agencies thru which you can apply for a visa to tunisia...but certainly not for 3 years.

  2. The longest visa that is allowed in Tunisia is 90 days. People who wish to stay more than that must apply for a residence card, called a Carte de Sejour.

There are restrictions as to who is eligible for a Carte de Sejour though. These restrictions include staying with a Tunisian family or a legal resident of Tunisia, being employed in Tunisia, or being married to a Tunisian or legal resident of Tunisia. It is an application process and not guaranteed that they would be approved.

Even if your parents were able to get a Carte de Sejour, it does expire every year and they would have to reapply. It takes about 3 months from the time they apply for a Carte de Sejour until the time they are able to pick it up. Once they have a Carte de Sejour they will be considered residents of Tunisia, and they will be required to pay the 60TND stamp fee eah and every time the wish to leave the country.

To get the Carte de Sejour, your parents must apply at the police station of the sector in which they will reside for authorization to stay. They will need to give them:

    -Their passports

    -4 identity photos each

-Documentary evidence of accommodation (their rent agreement; the title deed that they own property; or a written statement from a Tunisian or local family who is putting them up)

-Evidence of their means of support (their employment contract if it mentions salary; a bank’s statement of their account and/or transfer payments made to them in Tunisia)

-They will need to tell them why they wish to remain in Tunisia (things they look for are: a contract of employment properly endorsed by the local authorities; and/or a contract with a foreign employer and his company’s legal status in Tunisia)

-They must each pay a 10TND fee

Like I said, the police will then review the application, and decide if they qualify for the Carte de Sejour. If they do, it will take approximately 3 months for them to get their Residence Card (Carte de Sejour).

Here is a link that talks about how to do this, but they make it sound more complicated that it is:
