I have made a dns then installed active directory. Now i want to apply group policies on one of the users so that he may not access control pannel.

For this i installed "gpmc.msc" . After it i opened "group policy mngmnt" Right clicked On one"OU" , clicked gpo , linked it to OU ,then edited the gpo , Enabled "Remove Control pannel"

After this i logged in as a user under OU on another system on the network

  1. You need to apply the policy to specific user. You need to be really careful because you can apply a policy Domain wide that you don't want.

So first you need to spend sometime at the Microsoft Technet GPO page.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...

Second links talk about how to hide the control panel.

    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtec...

Good Luck...Please really read up GPOs are VERY powerful and can cause serious problems if used wrong.
