How to approach a girl you haven't talked to in a while?

There's this girl that I really like and used regularly talk to over a year ago now but have since grown been out of contact for about 12 months and I feel that it would be good to get back talking to her.

I don't see her much, as she lives about 5 miles away and I don't see her that often other than an occasional glance when passing through town or a rare meeting in a shop or queue.

What is the best way to approach, and if possible, to create more opportunities to communicate with her?

When you DO meet, say "Hi, lovely to see you again"

Then take it from there.

send her an email or a text message just asking what she's been up to and how she is, then take it from there :)
