you need to inform them in advance. I mean like a month before the gig...you stand a better chance of being allowed to use it. Also, you are gonna have to cough up some gd cash if you want that to happen

Try finding a pub/club that already does live music or open mic nights every once in a while, they might let you use their club as a venue for your gig event, but if you're going to charge the people an entrance fee, you'll have to pay the club some of it too, I'm sure!
