How to ask best friend if she likes me?

I'm 15 a sophomore in high school, how can i ask my best friend if she likes me or not without giving any obvious clues just in case she doesn't like me back (so it doesn't mess up anything).

she lives really close to me. we dont have any class together but we always talk online. when ever i see her in the hallway she always gives me a give smile. in the morning she tells me to walk with her around the school and stuff. shes invites me to her house all the time (just me and her).

You could have a friend ask her for you...although that can be really obvious.

Maybe you could stick an anonymous love note in her locker and tell her a place to leave the answer?

But make sure to disguise your handwriting.

You just need to be open and up front all relationships work better and start out better if you just ask and be open minded.

Well a good place to start is with her body language.

Does she move her body slightly towards you when she talks to you, do her pupils get bigger when she looks into your eyes? These are signs, and check for other obvious ones.

What you could try is when you talk to her, ask her who she might like, and she'll either give you a name or she say no one/idk. If she gives you a name ask her why she likes him, if she gives you no one/idk answer then ask her how come. Point is, you find out what she might look in a guy, and you compare it to yourself. Seeing if you might be the type of guy for her too. However, this isn't really a good idea, but you can try it.

Another thing you could try is say that one of your friends (who she doesn't know, if possible) kept teasing saying that you and that girl (whatever her name is) should go out. When you tell her that, see how she reacts about it.
