How to ask your mother if you can wear makeup?

I am thirteen, And going into grade 8. I would like to start wearing makeup.

But, I am not sure how to ask my mother. Also, I want high end makeup like MAC or Benefit, so I will not buy it myself.

What makeup do you think is appropriate for girls who are 13?

Any tips?

I asked my mom it 13 too.this is what i said to her I said mom i want to wear make up.don't all the heavy stuff just a light blush and mascara and a light lipstick.she said yes because she said a said that like a mature girl.If you want high makeup.ask your mom to buy you some and ask for a allowance every friday to get your own makeup.

but quality brand. then work up to MAC. MAC is

for the working people, or people who have sugar daddies.

unless you save and buy it yourself, youre to young for MAC,

but not to young for make-up.

you should just come right out and ask her. Say something like " i am going into 8th grade or i am 13 and would like to wear a little bit of makeup. is that ok?" i would just wear something light like lipgloss, concealer, and little bit of mascara. Also you shouldn't wear it everyday, only to special occasions at first. Don't over do it if she does let you you don't want to look like you have a lot on. Don't expect her to buy expensive high end makeup like MAC, to impress her you could offer to buy the makeup yourself. i would stick to makeup from stores like Target or Walgreens. If your mother says no dont wear it anyway b/c she will notice and you will get in trouble. hope this helps!! Good luck!!!!

For asking her if u can use makeup just say mom im 13 years old i would like to start wearing some makeup . ( if u have any pimples u can use that and say i would like to hide this.)

i think its to know how much u should use and for what event if its for every day school etc... just some Mascara ,Concealer ( only if u need it to hide blemishes ) Foundation and maybe some eyeliner and lip gloss  . if its for a event or some kind of party the same but add some eye shadow ... u can use blush to but i dont like to i think it makes u look like ur trying to be older.

At 13, you don't even know how to put on make up properly, so to ask your mom for the high end stuff is a little ridiculous. Just ask her, it's not like you're asking for birth control.

Eyeliner and mascara, maybe a little bit of eyeshadow and foundation if you need it. If I were you, I would just casually say to your mom, "Hey, can you go take me to buy some make-up later?" If she objects, you can tell her how everyone else at your age had started wearing make up and you would only use a little so you won't look like a dark-eyed clown. Good luck!

Well I never asked my mum when I was that age, I just gradually started wearing it, it's just a natural phase girls go through she'll expect it. I'd go for some mascara and eyeshadow nothing to bright or put on badly you could look like a clown. At 13 I wouldn't spend money on expensive make-up. I didn't start buying expensive make-up till I was about 16 when I new what I wanted and how to use it. When you've never used it before and are just experimenting i'd go for the cheap makes, till you decide what you want to make your own personal look

It's not hard at all to ask your mom when your allowed to wear makeup. All you do is ask her! Good makeup for a 13 yr old is eyeliner, lip gloss, mascara, and whatever else you want. You can even ask your mom!

I would start off by asking for small things. Ask her if you can wear a little foundation/powder and lip gloss. Whatever you do, do not ask for eye makeup just yet. Every mother knows that their daughter can go crazy with eye shadow. Let that be the last thing you ask for.

But ask for one thing at a time, that way she won't feel overwhelmed.

if i were you, i'd just get cheap makeup first so you could learn how to put it on correctly. just use some mascara, brown eyeliner, tinted moisturizer, and clear lip gloss. as for your mom, just tell her you feel that you are old enough to wear makeup. if she says no, dont get mad. just wait a while and ask her again.

Next time you go to the store, ask her straight out if you can wear makeup. Or, next time she goes to the store to buy makeup, go with her and while she's looking at the different makeup, ask her if you can try out some makeup too. Also, start a little bit at a time, start with concealer, then mascara and then eyeliner. Don't worry, she'll probably be feeling just as awkward as you at the time.

I would suggest eyeliner, mascara and cover-up applied lightly.

Im 13 too and going to grade 8! iusally dont wear alot and i think thats why my mom lets me plus i dunt wear it everyday mabye you could ask ur mom that u want to waer make up but tell her that u wont wear alot but if u want to wear alot, ask ur mom and mabye u could plan sumthing out! i usally wear sum lipgloss and mascara, i dunt put eyeshadow on or blush cause im scared that others will find me strange! anyways hope u find sumthing good, hoped i helped

Just buy soem cheap makeup, put it on and walk out in front of ur mom, thats what i did and now i wear makeup all the time!  it worked!
