How to attach feathers/beads in hair?

Question

I want dangling Native American feathers and beads in my hair (sort of like a hair wrap) but I'm not sure how to go about it.

The only picture I could find of the kind of feathers and beads i want are at the end of this dreamcatcher:

although I HAVE seen it in people's hair before so I know it's possible.

The beads are simple to put in,. Dampen a small section of hair where you want the braids and thread your hair through the middle of the bead (like threading a needle), then use a hair tye or a no-snag band to keep it in place. This is what I do on a daily basis, they look so gorgeous when they are in too. With the feathers, it could be a little bit more tricky. You could kind of weave it into your hair, and secure it there somehow, like with a clear no-snag band, or you could plait the section of hair and start to plait the feather in with it. I was also wondering thids because it looks gorgeous when it's finished!(:  Hope this helped!
