I am currently an undergrad student in the US (major criminal justice) and I was curious as to how I would apply to go to law school in Britain (to practice in Britain). I do know the fact that there are barristers and solicitors, but I do not know exactly the difference.

  1. A work visa is not necessary for your purposes at the moment; you would actually need a student visa, since you need to study law before you can practice law. Start the whole process 12 months before you intend to start, don't forget you need to apply and be accepted to a law school in the U.K. before you can apply and be accepted for a visa.
