  1. The Google Search link below gets you lots of sites explaining about spreadsheets - don't be put off by "Spreadsheets for Dummies" - these sites are usually excellent in that they show step by step how to do things with spreadsheets. . . . .

  2. Could try a VBA macro - but if its only 5 sheets - probably easier to do it manually - if its only 1 workbook

Macro could relabel the sheets on startup

  3. hi,

unfortunately you cannot auto number (or name) worksheets. It has to be done manually. And since its 5 sheets only, it shouldnt be a problem.

Having said that, you could always insert page numbers to the worksheets which can thankfully be done automatically. Below are the steps for it :

How to Insert page numbers on worksheets :

    1) Click the worksheet on which you want to insert page numbers.

Tip:   To insert page numbers on multiple worksheets at the same time, click the first worksheet tab, and then hold down CTRL while clicking the other worksheet tabs.

    2) On the View menu, click Header and Footer.

Click Custom Header or Custom Footer.

To specify where you want the page number to appear, click inside the Left section, Center section, or Right section box.

Click the page number button , and then click OK.

A preview image of your header or footer will appear in the Page Setup dialog box.

Tip   To start numbering pages with a number other than 1, click the Page tab of the Page Setup dialog box and then type the number in the First page number box.
